Concierge Desk

What you pay for, and what is always extra

Three billing models, the figures inside each, and the three questions that expose a blended quote.

In short

A concierge fee is a management fee sitting on top of an itemised disbursement account — never a single blended number.

  • The fee buys planning, coordination, scheduling, quality control and the duty officer.
  • Berths, fuel, provisions, park tariffs, drivers and venues are pass-through.
  • Editorial guidance from the desk's own files and current supplier tariffs.

Three billing models

When each one applies

Which model fits depends on whether the vessel is visiting, based here, or carrying guests.

Phinisi and motor vessels at anchor off a Komodo island

Per port call

USD 1,500–3,500 per call, typically up to a week

The visiting-yacht standard. Moves with vessel size, guest programme, and how much of the call is at anchor versus alongside.

Phinisi lying at rest in flat water between charters

Monthly retainer

from USD 950 per month

For yachts basing in Bali or left between seasons. Caretaking, accounts, crew admin and a monthly condition report.

Guests on the aft deck of a yacht at sunset

Per day or per guest

USD 120–250 per guest / day

Guest-facing programmes. Shoreside attendance on shorter calls runs a flat USD 250–450 per day.

If a quote you have received elsewhere sits far outside these bands, the difference is usually scope — or silent markup.

Three questions to ask any quote

A desk that hesitates on any of the three is a booking office.

Is the fee separated from disbursements?

Blended quotes hide markup. Ours: separated.

Who actually performs each service?

The desk itself, or arranged suppliers — and are those suppliers named on the invoice? Ours: named.

What does after-hours cover cost?

Some desks quote low, then bill every evening call as an extra. Ours: included.

Request a line-item quote

Send your dates, vessel size and what the visit needs to achieve. The desk returns an itemised USD quote with the concierge fee and estimated disbursements shown separately.
