The brief
Vessel, dates, guests, and what the trip must deliver — diving, culture, remoteness, or simply rest.

Legs and fallback anchorages matched to the monsoon calendar, with fuel, water and provisioning points confirmed rather than assumed.

Clearance position, park fees and any special-area permissions sequenced through the clearance desk and the park fee file.

A sample shakedown
Bali waters in four days
Many owners run a local shakedown before committing to the eastern corridor. This is the shape of one.
Day 1
Serangan to Nusa Penida
Morning departure across the Badung Strait, roughly fifteen miles. Position for snorkelling or freediving at Manta Point — a designated protected area with strict interaction rules — then lunch at anchor under the limestone cliffs and an afternoon on the water near Crystal Bay.
Day 2
Penida's west coast
Along the western cliffs, with guided snorkelling at reef sites chosen for minimal current. Ashore, Kelingking, Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong — timed early or late to avoid the coach traffic. Overnight in a sheltered bay on the north shore.
Day 3
Lembongan & Ceningan
A short cruise north to the two smaller islands. Mangrove tour by traditional boat, paddleboarding and kayaking in the calm bays, and Devil's Tear on the southwest coast when the swell is running. Overnight on a sheltered mooring.
Day 4
Return to Bali, or keep going
Breakfast under way, a final swim stop, and back alongside at Serangan by early afternoon. From here the itinerary either ends with transfers, or extends east — the Gilis and Lombok, or Komodo, which changes vessel and crew and is planned as its own programme.
Three to five days is the usual local format. The eastern corridor is a separate conversation with different vessels, different permits and a different weather calendar.
