Crew Shore Support & Crew Change Services Bali — 24/7 Desk for Captains

When a superyacht positions into Benoa or drops anchor off Serangan ahead of a Komodo or Raja Ampat leg, the guest programme usually has a whole team behind it. The crew side rarely does. Bali Yacht Concierge runs a dedicated desk for that gap: crew services and shore support for superyachts in Bali, built around the captain and purser rather than the charter guests. One WhatsApp thread covers crew changes, airport runs, secure ground transport, crew car hire, laundry, medical and dental referrals, and a phone that is answered at 03:00 when an inbound flight is missed.

To be clear about what we are: a concierge and booking desk. We do not own a vehicle fleet, a clinic, or a laundry plant, and we do not pretend to. We arrange each service through operators inside the Juara Holding Group ecosystem (the Bali-based group we belong to, hosting international visitors since 2015) and through established local providers we book and supervise on your behalf. For a purser, that structure means one accountable contact, one paper trail for the management company, and Bali rates negotiated on volume rather than marina walk-up pricing.

If a crew change lands this week, message the desk now on WhatsApp at +62 811-3941-4563 with your movement list: names, flights, and dates are enough to start. What we cover, and what it typically costs, is below.

What Crew Shore Support Includes

Crew changes and airport movements

Crew changes are the core of the service. Send the desk a movement list and we sequence the rest: pickup at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), meet-and-greet at arrivals with a name board, luggage handling for engineers travelling with tool cases or spares, and transfer to the vessel, tender point, or crew hotel. For departing crew we work backwards from the flight time, build in southern Bali traffic (which can double a journey between 16:00 and 20:00) and confirm the driver and plate number to the purser the evening before. When a joining crew member needs a night ashore between flights, we book crew-rate rooms near the airport or the anchorage rather than guest-priced resorts.

Secure transportation for crew and captains

For routine runs, standard licensed drivers are fine, and that is what we book. For cash movements to a provisioning market, late-night returns from Seminyak or Canggu, or a captain travelling with vessel documents, we arrange vetted drivers through the group’s 24/7 secure transportation service: tracked vehicles, English-speaking drivers, and a dispatcher who stays reachable for the whole job. The same channel can run a scheduled daily shuttle during a longer anchorage or refit period, so crew are not haggling for individual rides every evening.

Crew car hire

Crews staying more than a few days usually want their own wheels. We arrange self-drive cars and scooters through the group’s car rental desk in Bali, delivered to the marina gate or crew house with documents in order, or a car with driver on a ten-hour day basis for provisioning circuits. Tell us how many crew, for how long, and whether the vessel or the individual is paying. We match the vehicle to the job rather than upselling the largest thing available.

Laundry, errands, and day-to-day shore needs

Interior teams know the problem: guest linen has a contract, crew kit does not. We arrange express crew laundry at per-kilogram rates, pharmacy and toiletries runs, local SIM cards and data plans on arrival day, phone and laptop repair, and the small errands that otherwise consume a stew’s only afternoon off. None of it is glamorous. All of it is what the desk exists for.

Medical and dental referrals

Crew injuries and dental emergencies do not wait for a convenient port. We refer crew to international-standard clinics and hospitals in the Denpasar–Kuta corridor, book the appointment, put a driver on it, and (where the P&I club or crew insurer needs documentation) help collect invoices and medical reports in English. For anything serious, our emergency medical support page explains how the desk handles hospital-level and evacuation-level situations. For routine matters, a same-day GP or dental slot is normally achievable on a weekday.

A hotline that is answered at 03:00

The whole service hangs off the group’s 24/7 hotline concierge — the same desk that supports long-stay expatriates across Bali year-round. Captains get one number that reaches a person at any hour: a missed connection in Doha, a crew member unwell at 02:00, an urgent question no office will answer until Monday. We triage, dispatch, and report back to the purser in writing once it is handled.

How the Desk Arranges It

Bali Yacht Concierge is the yacht-facing desk of Juara Holding Group, a Bali-based group operating since 2015 across transport, trip operations, and expatriate services. Every request follows the same sequence: we scope it into a written plan with named providers and prices, book it through the relevant group operator or a vetted third party, and supervise execution with a single point of contact on our side. You approve costs before anything is confirmed.

This is deliberately not the clearing-agent model. Your appointed agent handles formalities: clearance, immigration, customs. We work alongside them, not in competition with them. What agents rarely staff for is the human logistics layer underneath: eleven crew arriving on six flights, a chef who needs a root canal, a delivery crew that needs two cars for a fortnight. That layer is our entire job, and because the group already runs these services for Bali’s expatriate community, the capacity exists whether or not a yacht happens to be in port.

Realistic Price Guidance

The ranges below are indicative market figures for 2026, shown in US dollars for comparability. Final quotes are confirmed in writing before you commit, and most services are invoiced in Indonesian rupiah at the day’s rate. Vehicle class, timing, and season move prices within these bands.

ServiceTypical range
Airport transfer, DPS to Benoa or Serangan area (private car, one way)USD 25–50 per vehicle
Arrival meet-and-greet assistance at DPSUSD 30–80 per crew member, by service level
Secure vehicle with vetted driver, ten-hour dayUSD 60–120 per day
Self-drive crew car / scooterUSD 25–50 per day / USD 8–15 per day
Express crew laundryUSD 2–4 per kilogram
Clinic consultation, international-standard GP or dentalUSD 30–90 per visit, paid directly to the clinic
Full crew-change coordinationQuoted per movement list; often no separate fee when transport is booked through the desk

A note on fees: where our margin sits inside a booked service, we do not add a handling charge on top. Where a request is pure coordination (supervising a medical case with no bookable component, for instance), we quote a flat desk fee in advance. There are no percentage-of-invoice surprises at the end of the call.

How to Book Crew Support

  1. Message the desk on WhatsApp (+62 811-3941-4563) or email bd@juaraholding.com with the vessel name, your dates in Bali, and what you need. A movement list, even a rough one, speeds everything up.
  2. We reply with a written plan and priced options, usually within a few working hours, faster on WhatsApp.
  3. You approve. We book, then confirm every element with names, plate numbers, and direct contacts.
  4. One desk contact stays on your file until the last crew member is where they should be.

On lead time: 48 hours is comfortable for most crew changes. Same-day is often possible for transport, car hire, and laundry. Medical referrals are handled as they arise, day or night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you handle immigration and visas for crew changes?

Formal clearance and visa work sits with your appointed clearance agent, and we do not replace them. What we do is coordinate around their process: timing pickups to immigration appointments, running crew to biometric or photo sessions, and making sure nobody is stranded landside because paperwork moved slower than the flight schedule. If you do not yet have an agent for Indonesia, we can point you to established ones, as a straightforward referral.

Can you support a vessel at anchor rather than in a marina?

Yes. Much of Bali’s superyacht traffic sits at anchor off Benoa, Serangan, or Amed rather than alongside. We plan around your tender schedule and confirm the shore-side meeting point with the officer of the watch. We do not operate tenders or crew boats ourselves; where a water shuttle is needed, we book it through local operators and tell you exactly who is running it.

Is the 24/7 number a call centre?

No. It is the group’s existing hotline desk, staffed in Bali by people who can dispatch a driver, wake a clinic contact, or reach us directly — not a script-reading service that logs a ticket for the morning. Response is immediate; resolution depends on the problem, and we tell you honestly which one you are getting.

What if a crew member needs a hospital, not a clinic?

We escalate to a hospital referral, put transport on it, and stay on the case until the crew member is admitted and the vessel and insurer have what they need in writing. We are not a medical provider and do not give clinical advice; our role is getting your crew to the right door quickly, with someone standing beside them who knows the system.

Can crew book directly, or does everything go through the purser?

Either, at the captain’s discretion. Some boats prefer a single purser-controlled thread for accountability. On others, crew message the desk directly for personal items (laundry, a scooter, a dental appointment) and pay for those themselves. We follow whatever protocol the captain sets, and nothing is billed to the vessel without named authorisation.

Which areas of Bali do you cover?

The working arc: Benoa, Serangan, and Sanur; the Kuta–Seminyak–Canggu corridor; and Amed and Padang Bai in the east for vessels staging toward Komodo. For crew changes routed through Lombok or Labuan Bajo, flag it early: the group works across those routes and can often cover the far end of the movement as well.

Speak to the Crew Desk

The fastest route is WhatsApp: +62 811-3941-4563. Send the vessel name, your dates, and the movement list, and the desk takes it from there. Prefer a thread the management office can follow? Email bd@juaraholding.com. Either way you get a written plan with prices before anything is booked — and one desk that stays reachable from the first pickup to the last drop-off.
